Event Timetable

  • 2.00pm – Gates open

    3.00pm – Butchers briefing (behind stage)

    6.00pm – Round 1 Butcher Wars competition

    7.00pm – Round 2  Butcher Wars competition

  • 12.00am – Gates open

    1.00pm – Butchers briefing (behind stage)

    3.00pm – Round 1 Butcher Wars competition

    4.00pm – Round 1 Butcher Wars competition

    8.00pm – Awards Presentation

  • Each Butcher is allocated

    Pork – Half Saddle (ask for details)
    Lamb – Half Lamb ( ask for details)

    Butchers ARE allowed to use the following

    • Garnishes
    • Seasonings, including Herbs and Spices
    • Sauces and Marinades
    • Knives and Saws
    • Additional presentation items

    Butchers are judged on

    • Speed
    • Technique
    • Creativity
    • Final Presentation

  • Butchers are given 30 minutes competition time to present meats on a supplied board.

  • Workstations for the competition are approximatively 610 x 1200mm.
    Each competitor must supply their own presentation board for final judging.

  • Free entry for competitors and team members.

  • 1st 500 Euro and Prizes
    2nd 300 Euro and Prizes
    3rd 200 Euro and Prizes

  • Please note, you may receive a penalty for any of the following infractions:

    • Going over the allowed time.
    • Late to competition start times.
    • The uncleanliness of the station.

The judge's decision is final in the event of any dispute.

The event organizers recommend that all participants also attend on Sunday, September 21, as the program includes related events such as round tables, cutting demonstrations, and debates on topics from the meat industry.

By entering the Contest, each entrant forever and irrevocably releases and holds harmless the event organisers, its parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, and their respective agents, advertising and promotion agencies, Contest partners and prize suppliers, and all of their respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders, affiliates, and agents from and against all claims, damages, or liabilities arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from (a) entrant’s participation in the Contest, or Contest related activities or events, (b) entrant’s Submission, (c) entrant’s representations and agreements in these Official Rules, and (d) entrant’s award, receipt, or use of any prize awarded in the Contest. The event organisers reserve the right, at their own sole discretion, to terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time. 

A waiver must be signed by each contestant.
